Virginia Board for People with Disabilities

The good folks at the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities sponsor some of the most innovative supports in Virginia through their grant offerings.  The Commonwealth Coalition for Community was started with a small grant from the Virginia Board in 1997.

Virginia Office for Protection and Advocacy

The Virginia Office for Protection and Advocacy (VOPA) helps with disability-related problems like abuse, neglect, and discrimination. They also help people with disabilities obtain services and treatment.  All callers receive help with these problems and may be eligible for advocacy services and/or legal representation.

Virginia Transition Services for Students with Disabilities

The Virginia Department of Education's Transition web resources provide support, information and resources designed to improve the outcomes of students with disabilities in transition from middle/ secondary education and post secondary education  and employment.
